107 students bag Bashir El-Rufai scholarship in Kaduna varsity

No fewer than 107 students in Kaduna North have been shortlisted for the Bashir El-Rufai Scholarship Fund for Kaduna State University (KASU).

This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday, June 3, by the lawmaker-elect for Kaduna North Federal Constituency, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai.

El-Rufai noted that an ad hoc committee was set up under the Chairmanwomanship of Amina Sani Bello.

He added: “The ad hoc committee organised a transparent CBT exam that was open to all students in Kaduna North. Over three thousand wrote the exams but a hundred forty-five passed. The ad hoc committee then screened that number to a hundred seven students based on the criteria it had set.

“Out of the one hundred and seven that scaled through, seven have various physical challenges. I am elated to that students in a wide range of courses passed, just as illustrated in the final list I attached. Insha Allah, I intend to do more after I am sworn in on June 13, 2023. I would like to thank everyone that contributed to the entire process.

“The Yasmin El-Rufai Foundation, the ad hoc committee, my childhood friend, the Chairman of Kaduna North LGA, Muktar Baloni, and the good of Kaduna North for their patience, trust, and words of encouragement.”
