17-year-old student commits suicide in Benue

Terhemba Tyochivir, a student of the Government Secondary School in the Gboko area of Benue State, has committed suicide.

The Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene, who confirmed the incident on Friday, disclosed that the 17-year-old student committed suicide in Makurdi, the state capital, on Thursday, September 21, 2023.

Anene said the deceased was rushed to Bishop Murray Hospital in Makurdi, where he was confirmed dead.

The police spokesperson stated that the details of the incident remained sketchy even though it was reported at the E Division Police Station, Makurdi.
