2 die, 6 injured in Lagos-Ibadan expressway accident

Two persons have been confirmed dead while six others sustained injuries in an auto crash on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State.

The spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, Florence Okpe,  disclosed that the lone accident which occurred on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, involved a Toyota bus carrying eight persons.

Okpe attributed the accident to overspeeding and loss of control of the vehicle by the driver.

She said: “The vehicle crashed on the road barrier due to speeding and loss of control.

“The injured victims were taken to a hospital at Mowe in Ogun State, while the deceased were deposited in its morgue.”
