No fewer than two people were trapped after a three-storey building under construction collapsed in the Kubwa area of Abuja.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) disclosed that the incident occurred at midnight on Friday.
The number of people injured could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
An eyewitness said some injured persons have been rescued and taken to a nearby hospital.
It was however gathered that officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have commenced rescue operations at the scene.
