The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested two young women, Favour Joy and Joy Igwe, over alleged drug dealing in Benin, the capital of Edo State.
The NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Babafemi said the women were apprehended on Tuesday, June 3.
He listed items recovered from the suspects to include 106.57kg skunk, 1kg Loud, 800grams Colorado, and 302grams of methamphetamine.

Babafemi added that the NDLEA operatives, on Monday, June 2, intercepted a consignment of 1,665kg skunk, a strain of cannabis, along the Lekki-Ajah expressway.
Babafemi noted that two suspects, Gidado Abdulrasaq Ayinde and Obanla Oluwafemi, were arrested in connection with the seizure.
He further stated that the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) social advocacy activities by the NDLEA continued across the country in the past week.
He listed some of the activities to include WADA sensitisation lecture delivered to students and staff of Sir Usman Nagogo College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Katsina State; Fountain of Knowledge International Academy, Abakaliki in Ebonyi State; and Millennium High School, Egbeda in Lagos State; among others.
