2023: Gov Sule announces deputy as running mate

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has announced his deputy, Dr Emmanuel Akabe, as his running mate for the 2023 governorship election in the state.

The governor announced the choice of his running mate on Wednesday while receiving the leaders of the Alago Nation at the Government House in Lafia, the state capital.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Addra, Sule described his deputy as “a professional, who is loyal and very honest”.

The governor further enjoined the Alago Nation, whom he said was “blessed”, to continue to support the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the statement, the highlight of the event was the formal presentation of the nomination form to Akabe in the presence of the chairman of the Nasarawa State Working Committee of the APC, Dr. John D.W Mamman, and other members of the committee.
