Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani
Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has commended the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency for its performance during the 2024 Hajj exercise.
Sani made the commendation when the agency submitted the 2024 Hajj report on Monday, December 16, 2024.
A statement issued on Wednesday by the Director General of Interfaith Bureau, Tahir Umar Tahir, quoted the governor as saying that the pilgrims agency completed the evacuation of all intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, ten days before the closing of King Abdul Azeez International Airport, which he described as unprecedented.
He added that all Kaduna State pilgrims landed directly at Madina, spent four days in the city, and visited holy sites and historic places before proceeding to Makkah.

Sani said: “The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria(NAHCON) adopted the pricing template of Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency and this is worthy of commendation.
“Because of the transparent manner in which the board chose the accommodation at Makkah, the overseer of the pilgrims agency has been chosen as a member of NAHCON’s Committee of Accommodation and Catering Service Providers.”
On his part, the chairman of the agency, Salihu Abubakar, commended Governor Sani for giving them a free hand to conduct the Hajj exercise.
Abubakar stated that Sani also provided the agency with the necessary support each time it needed assistance, adding that this went a long way in making the 2024 Hajj successful.
