The former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on Wednesday attended the opening session of the Global Crusade organised by Deeper Life Bible Church in the Kado area of Abuja.
This marks Amaechi’s first public appearance since his emergence as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
The crude featured ministrations by the church’s General Overseer, Pastor William Kumuyi.
Amaechi’s appearance comes days after the ADC officially unveiled him as the running mate to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for the 2027 presidential election.

The opposition party announced the ticket on June 15, describing the Atiku-Amaechi partnership as a platform designed to unite Nigerians and offer an alternative political direction ahead of the polls.
The ADC said Amaechi’s nomination followed extensive consultations with party leaders, coalition partners and key stakeholders, including youth and women groups, as well as representatives from across the country’s geopolitical zones.
The former minister secured the party’s vice-presidential slot after placing second in the ADC presidential primary conducted in May 2026. While Atiku emerged winner with 1,846,370 votes, Amaechi garnered 504,117 votes.
