The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, has dumped the party for the coalition-backed African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, announced his defection to the ADC at an event held at the Nike Lake Resort in Enugu on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
The event was attended by former Senate President David Mark.
