27-year-old doctor killed in Kaduna train attack

A Twitter user, Steph Adamu, has taken to the micro-blogging site, revealing that Dr. Chinelo Megafu, a young Nigerian medical doctor was killed by terrorists in an attack on the Kaduna-Abuja train on Monday night.

Adamu, on Tuesday, disclosed that the young doctor had secured papers to travel abroad to continue her medical practice.

She added that the late 27-year-old doctor worked at St. Gerald’s Hospital in Kaduna before she resigned last month to pursue her dream abroad.

Adamu, who seems to know the late doctor closely, wrote: “Dr Chinelo was making an honest living, she was working at St Gerald’s hospital in Kaduna, she wanted more for herself and processed her papers to leave this hell-hole.

“She resigned last month to leave the country this Friday then this happened. Nigeria why???”

Chinelo had taken to her Twitter handle, @nelo_x on Monday night to report that she had been shot by the terrorists while asking for prayers.

“I’m in the train. I have been shot please pray for me,” she had tweeted.

However, the 27-year-old doctor later died of injuries.

”We have confirmed the attack, but we cannot give you much information right now.
