The operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command have apprehended a 28-year-old man for allegedly raping his 8-year-old daughter in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.
The command’s spokesman, SP Nafiu Habib, confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
Habib disclosed that the incident was reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Alkaleri.
Habib said the 28-year-old man lured his biological daughter into a bathroom and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her through both her vagina and anus for about five times daily against her will.

“On receipt of the report, a team of detectives led by CSP Kadiri Danjuma, DPO Alkaleri, swiftly visited the scene, moved the victim to General Hospital Alkaleri for immediate medical attention, and arrested the suspect,” he stated.
The police spokesperson noted that the suspect confessed to the crime during interrogation.
Habib added that the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has ordered an investigation into the incident.
