3 PDP senators meet Tinubu, declare intention to dump party for APC

The three serving senators from Kebbi State – Adamu Aliero, Yahaya Abdullahi, and Garba Maidoki – have announced their intentions to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The senators announced this after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday, May 9, 2025.

The lawmakers were led to the meeting by the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.

3 Katsina PDP Reps defect to APC, governor attends plenary

Also in attendance at the meeting with the president were Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu.
