Six persons have been rescued after a two-storey building collapsed on Modupeola Street, Mangoro, in the Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that the building collapsed at about 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
The incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.
Omotoso, in a post on his social media accounts, disclosed that one person was injured, adding that the cause of the building collapse had yet to be ascertained.

Omotoso stated that government officials have launched a probe into the incident.
The commissioner said: “The Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) and other first responders got to the scene in good time and rescued a trapped victim and five others from the rubble.
“The five who were rescued were taken to a private hospital in the neighbourhood. The trapped victim, who had a fracture and bruises, was taken to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Surgical Emergency by the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS).
“He arrived the hospital in a stable condition and was immediately admitted for further treatment.”
