No fewer than seven students have been injured after gunmen attacked the School of Health Technology, Ngbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The Ebonyi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu, confirmed the incident on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Ukandu said the attack which left seven students injured occurred at about 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
Ukandu disclosed that the gunmen invaded the students’ hostels and dispossessed them of their mobile phones and power banks.

According to him, about seven students sustained varying degrees of injuries during the encounter with the gunmen.
The police spokesman added that efforts were ongoing to identify and apprehend the perpetrators, assuring residents and students that the command was committed to ensuring their safety.
Ukandu urged the people of Ebonyi State to remain calm and provide useful information that could assist security agencies in tracking down the suspects.
