President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded seven ministerial nominees to the Senate for confirmation.
Their nomination was made known via a letter addressed to Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, and read at plenary on Tuesday.
The nominees are Henry Ikechukwu – Abia State; Umana Okon Umana – Akwa-Ibom State; Ekuma Joseph – Ebonyi State; Goodluck Nana Obia – Imo State; Umar Ibrahim Yakubu – Kano State; Ademola Adewole Adegorioye – Ondo State; Odo Udi – Rivers State.
Buhari stated that it was his expectation to receive the usual expeditious consideration and confirmation of the nominees by the Senate
The Senate has, however, not fixed a date yet for the screening of the ministerial nominees.
