Rather than abate, the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has deepened as Governor Nyesom Wike’s team has pulled out of the Presidential Campaign Council of the opposition candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The team also insisted that the party’s National Chairman, Iyorcha Ayu, must resign.
The team took the decision after a long meeting that ended on Wednesday morning in Port Harcourt.
Members of the team vowed not to partake in Atiku’s campaign until Ayu resign as national chairman.
Several members of Wike’s team are part of the Presidential Campaign Council.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo is the Deputy Director General (South) of the Council.
Wike and others are members of the Council.
Chief Olabode George read the communique of the group.
