A 24-year-old security guard, Barnabas Job, has been arrested for allegedly killing a 26-year-old housemaid, Tereza Ekibi, in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
The arrest of the security guard was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Sunday.
Hundeyin disclosed that the housemaid was allegedly murdered in her bedroom by the suspect at same house in the Lekki area of Lagos where they both worked as guard and maid.

He said a deep cut was discovered on the head of the deceased found in her bedroom, stressing that the motive of the suspect was yet unknown.
The police spokesperson stated that the cutlass used by the security guard was recovered with a bloodstain on it.
Hundeyin said the suspect, who confessed to the crime, had been taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, alongside the cutlass, where the Homicide Section of the department was investigating the matter.
