A Superintendent at the Nigerian Correctional Service, Lafia, Nasarawa State, Eyimoga Moses, has been arraigned before the Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi, Benue State, for a fraudulent act of job racketeering.
Moses was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) before Justice Abdul Dogo on Friday.
The ICPC counsel, Bako Alongs, said the defendant, who was arraigned on a one-count charge of corruption, collected N800,000 from a couple for two vacancy slots at the Federal University, Lafia, Nasarawa State, which he said Moses knew was false.

Alongs added that the defendant committed an offence contrary to Section 1(1) of Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act 2006.
Moses, however, pleaded “not guilty” when the charge was read to him.
Justice Dogo admitted Moses to bail and ordered his remand at the correctional centre in Makurdi, the Benue State capital until he meets the bail conditions.
The judge, therefore, adjourned the case till June 20, 2023, for trial.
