WhatsApp suffered a serious outage on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, preventing users from sending or receiving messages on the platform.
The world’s most popular messaging app started having problems at about 9 p.m.
The cause of the outage has yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
WhatsApp, in a tweet on its Twitter account, said: “We’re working quickly to resolve connectivity issues with WhatsApp and we’ll update you here as soon as possible.”
WhatApp owned by Meta, Facebook parent company, is the world’s top messaging app, with more than 2 billion users.
