Former Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, has described Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of President Bola Tinubu, as a woman who came equipped for the challenges of the office.
Omo-Agege, in a message to commemorate Tinubu on her 63rd birthday on Thursday, said Nigeria is lucky to have the former senator as First Lady.
He said the First Lady’s stature, political acumen, and management capacity can only be compared to those of ex-American First Lady, Hilary Clinton, whom he said was a pillar of support for her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

“From her sterling political consciousness and active role while President Tinubu was Lagos governor to becoming a federal lawmaker in Nigeria’s apex legislative chamber, the Senate, our First Lady garnered invaluable experience that Nigeria sorely needs as the President squares up to the task of returning the country to the path of sustainable growth,” the former Deputy Senate President was quoted as saying in a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Sunny Areh.
He stated that like other great First Ladies in the world, Tinubu’s experience and vision would help her husband to rebuild and develop Nigeria.
Omo-Agege added: “Our country is lucky to have Senator Oluremi Tinubu as First Lady at this crucial time of our political and economic trajectory.
“She represents strength, visionary leadership, greatness and fight for democracy.”
