The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kogi State, Leke Bejide, has promised to accord traditional rulers in the state their due regard, if elected as governor.
Bejide, a former member representing the Yagba federal constituency in the House of Representatives, vowed to meet the monarchs in the “best hotel” to enjoy themselves anytime there are summoned by him.
The gubernatorial candidate in the November 11, 2023, election made the vow during his campaign tour of the state on Monday.
He said: “I will respect all my traditional rulers.

“I will give you the due respect that is needed.
“I will make sure any time I invite you, I will put you in the best hotel for you to enjoy yourself.
“I will not look down and put you inside sun.”
