The operatives of the Benue State Police Command have arrested a man, Matthew Bem, for allegedly stabbing his wife to death during a fight in Korinya, Konshisha Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.

The Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that the victim, Mngusonun Bem, was stabbed by her husband during an argument and she died shortly afterward on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.

“He was fighting with his wife and he stabbed her during the fight and she died,” Anene said.
The police spokesperson stated that Bem was arrested and is in police custody, adding that an investigation is ongoing.
