The death toll from the rubble of a three-storey building that collapsed in the Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos State has increased to seven.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) disclosed this via a statement issued by its Permanent Secretary, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, on Monday, April 21, 2025.
Oke-Osanyintolu added that the total number of people rescued has increased to 13.
He stated: “As at the time of this report, total number of victims is now 20 persons.13 people have been rescued alive, comprising four adult females and nine adult males.

“The number of bodies recovered so far is now seven persons, comprising five adult females and two adult males.”
The LASEMA boss said the operation was still ongoing, adding that safety precautions had been activated.
“Crowd control, outer, and inner cordons are maintained to ensure safe operation.”
