Mohammed Abdullahi, who served as Minister of Environment during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Abdullahi announced his resignation from the APC via a letter addressed to the APC chairman in his Uke ward, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
The former minister hinged his decision on “personal reasons”.

Abdullahi’s associate, Samuel Akala, confirmed the former minister’s resignation from the APC to journalists on Sunday.
Akala hinted that Abdullahi could soon align with a new political platform, possibly to pursue a bid for the Nasarawa State governorship in the 2027 general election.
