He lauded Sambo’s ascension as a recognition of his character, competence, and dedication to community service.

The Governor also paid homage to the late Chief Tagwai Sambo, the father of the new Chief, who led the Moro’a Chiefdom for 58 years.

“You are succeeding a colossus, a leader renowned for peace, patience, and purpose,” Sani said.

“His legacy lives on in the values he upheld.”

Calling for unity and support, the Governor urged the people of Moro’a to rally around their new traditional leader.

“Strengthen his hands with your loyalty, love, and labour,” he said. “Let peace be your pledge, progress your pursuit, and unity your umbrella.”

Governor Sani reaffirmed the pivotal role of traditional institutions in governance, security, and development. He described traditional rulers as “partners in policy, protectors of peace, and promoters of progress.”

He highlighted their grassroots influence in intelligence gathering, conflict resolution, and social mobilization.
He disclosed that his administration is committed to strengthening the traditional institution by investing in their offices and providing the necessary support for effective leadership.

He also noted the ongoing efforts to improve security through a blend of military and community-based strategies, in collaboration with traditional leaders.

“Our multi-faceted approach is yielding results. Today, Kaduna is safer and more stable thanks to the collective effort of security agencies, government, and our revered traditional institutions,” the Governor declared.

Beyond security, Governor Sani emphasized his administration’s commitment to people-centered development. He outlined investments in health care, education, road infrastructure, youth and women empowerment, and the revitalization of traditional palaces and community projects.
“We are focused on health, hope, and human capital. We are delivering on our promises. Under our watch, Kaduna State will become a beacon of peace, unity, and prosperity,” he said.

In his acceptance speech, Chief Ishaku Sambo expressed gratitude for the honour bestowed upon him, describing the moment as historic and humbling. “Your presence here today is a testament to the unity and peace that exist among us,” he told the audience.

Paying tribute to his father, the late Chief Tagwai Sambo, the new Chief praised his 58-year reign as one of peace, prosperity, and visionary leadership. “He served with unwavering dedication until his passing on June 14, 2024—exactly one year today,” he noted. “His humility, wisdom, and loyalty to all levels of government earned him enduring respect.”

He also thanked Governor Uba Sani for his confidence in approving his appointment and pledged to lead with honour and service.
