President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Benue State over the killings of scores of residents of Yelwata in the Guma Local Government Area of the state.
Tinubu arrived in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, ahead of his visit to Yelwata on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
The president announced on Monday that he would visit the state on Wednesday, following heavy backlash from Nigerians who called him out for failing to empathise with the families affected by recent attacks by gunmen in the North-Central state.
