The Nigerian police have arrested three suspects, including a dismissed soldier, in connection with the theft of a motorcycle along the Abuja–Keffi Expressway.
The incident came to light after a victim reported on July 1 that his unregistered motorcycle had been forcefully taken by unknown assailants.
Acting on the report, surveillance operations led authorities to the Aso ‘C’ area of Mararaba, Nasarawa State, where the stolen motorcycle was recovered.
Two suspects, Isah Adamu and Abdullahi Aliyu, were apprehended at the scene. During initial questioning, both men claimed they had purchased the motorcycle for ₦1.1 million.
Subsequent investigations led officers to the home of the prime suspect, Adamu Haruna, in Jikwoyi.
Haruna, identified as a dismissed soldier, was found in possession of a Nigerian Army identity card, a jackknife, an electroshock device, a shocker, and military uniforms.
All three suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
