Security operatives in Kogi State have rescued 10 commuters abducted along the Ochadamu–Anyigba Road in Ofu Local Government Area.
The victims were kidnapped on August 11 near Ugbakpedo village, prompting a joint rescue operation involving police officers, vigilantes, and local hunters.
According to security sources, the team launched an intensive bush combing operation at about 4:30 a.m. on August 13, using tear gas to dislodge the kidnappers.
The suspects abandoned their captives and fled, enabling the safe recovery of all 10 victims, who have since been reunited with their families.
Security agencies say surveillance and search efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing criminals.
