The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested a man in connection with the death of another during a fight over N4,000 in Ado-Ekiti.
The incident occurred on August 15 at Uso community along the Ado–Afao road at about 10:30 p.m.
According to sources, the clash involved Michael (surname and age yet to be ascertained), from Kafanchan Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and 26-year-old John Dindul Selbol from Langtang Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Both men reportedly sustained severe injuries during the fight.
Michael was rushed to Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, where he was confirmed dead by doctors.
Police said the crime scene was processed, photographs taken, and the body deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Selbol, who also sustained injuries, is currently receiving treatment at the hospital under police custody as investigations continue.
