The family of the immediate past Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Aondona Dajoh, has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of his elder brother, Gwamile Dajoh.
It was gathered that Gwamile collapsed and died a few hours after Aondona announced his resignation as the Speaker of the Benue Assembly on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
Gwamile was said to have been deeply concerned over the political crisis in the House before his sudden demise.
Details surrounding the circumstances of Gwamile’s death remain limited, leaving family, friends, and colleagues in mourning.

His death follows Aondona’s resignation, which paved the way for the election of Alfred Berger as the new Speaker during an emergency plenary session on Sunday.
Dajoh announced his resignation in what political observers described as controversial circumstances.
