The Oyo State Government has issued a two-week ultimatum to roadside traders operating in parts of Ibadan to vacate their trading spots.
Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration directed all traders conducting business along Airport Road, Old Ife Road, and Onipepeye areas — including those selling from containers — to relocate their activities within the stipulated period.
According to a statement released on Tuesday night by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the deadline for compliance is Monday, October 27, 2025.
The statement emphasized the government’s determination to end roadside trading in the affected areas, urging traders to adhere to the directive before enforcement begins.
