The Nigeria Police Force officers have re-arrested human rights activist Omoyele Sowore outside the Magistrate Court in the Kuje area of Abuja.
His arrest comes immediately after the court granted bail to Sowore and 13 protesters arrested during the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest in Abuja.
Police officers waiting outside the courtroom dragged the politician into a waiting vehicle after he was granted bail by the court on Friday, October 24, 2025.

It could not be immediately ascertained why Sowore was re-arrested by the armed policemen.
The police had, on Thursday, said the former presidential candidate was apprehended for luring protesters into a restricted area to protest in violating of an order of the Federal High Court.
It was however gathered that the police would arraign the politician before the court on Monday, October 27, on a fresh charge related to his statement calling President Bola Tinubu a criminal.
