The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Thursday, challenged the delivery of judgement in his alleged terrorism trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
When the presiding judge, Justice James Omotosho, was about to commence proceedings and directed the registrar to call the case between the federal government and Kanu, the IPOB leader stood up and interjected.
“My lord there is no judgment today because we have joined issues in the matter,” Kanu said.
The judge responded, saying: “Defendant, there is decorum in court. Let the registrar call the matters accordingly.”

Justice Omotosho, while insisting on delivering judgement, asked Kanu to comport himself.
Kanu, however, insisted that he was entitled to file his final written address.
This resulted in a heated exchange in the court as the judge directed the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) to take the IPOB leader out of the courtroom.
The judge is currently reading the judgement, with Kanu being taken out of the courtroom.
