Gunmen suspected to be bandits have again struck in Isapa, a settlement near Eruku in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, abducting many residents.
It was gathered that bandits carried out the attack at about 6 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025.
The latest incident occurred less than 24 hours after worshippers abducted from the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku regained their freedom.
Gunmen had stormed the church, killing three people and abducting 38 others.
It was gathered that Monday’s attack on Isapa was carried out by a group of between 20 and 30 armed men.
The assailants were said to have shot indiscriminately, as residents scampered for safety.

An elderly woman was also said to have been struck by a stray bullet.
A community leader, who asked not to be named for security reasons, confirmed the incident on Tuesday.
The community leader disclosed that 11 residents were abducted by gunmen.
“Seven of them from the same household. The victims include a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers, and several young children,” he said.
The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo, also confirmed the incident, adding that a statement would soon be released.
