Governor Uba Sani has been lauded for fostering peace and progress in Kaduna State despite its history of ethno-religious tensions.
The commendation came from the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury, His Grace Justin Portal Welby, during a courtesy visit to the Governor at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna, on Saturday.
Recalling his first visit to the state in 2002—a period marked by deep ethno-religious conflicts—Archbishop Welby praised the relative stability and unity Kaduna has experienced under Governor Uba Sani’s administration.
He said his visit aimed to acknowledge the Governor’s efforts and encourage the continuation of reconciliation and cohesion initiatives.
In response, Governor Uba Sani highlighted the achievements of the Kaduna Peace Model, which emphasizes good governance, inclusion, and community development.
He noted that the state has remained free of ethno-religious crises during his tenure and reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining peace, equity, and dialogue across all communities.
