Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 3 Brigade have rescued eight out of 10 guests abducted by suspected terrorists during a wedding ceremony in Dabawa, Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State.

A credible source at the Army Headquarters revealed that on Thursday gunmen reportedly dressed in military camouflage, stormed the event on Wednesday and forcefully took the victims away.

Following a distress alert, troops who were positioned along the Yankwada River line quickly moved to the area and engaged the fleeing attackers at Garu Village in neighbouring Katsina State.
