Terrorists have released a video showing 176 residents abducted from Woro community in the Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.

In the footage circulating online, several captives — mainly women and children, including a nursing mother — are seen standing in rows while one armed man questions them about where they were taken from.

Three women, speaking in Hausa, identify Woro community as the location of their abduction.

During the recording, the terrorists accused the Kwara State Government of understating the scale of the incident.

The speaker in the video claimed that officials had told the public that only between 20 and 30 people were kidnapped, insisting instead that 176 persons are currently being held.

The video has renewed concerns among residents across Kwara State, particularly in communities within the Kaiama axis, where repeated attacks by armed groups have been reported in recent months.

As of the time of filing this report, the state government had not issued any official response to the claims contained in the video or confirmed the actual number of people abducted from Woro.

It would be recalled that terrorists attacked Woro community on February 4, 2026, killing several residents and abducting many others.

Among those killed were two wives of the traditional ruler, his children, and prominent members of the community, among others.
