The Nigeria Police Force in Jigawa State has finalised arrangements to begin the physical and credentials screening of applicants seeking recruitment as constables.
The command’s spokesperson, Shiisu Lawan, disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday in Dutse.
According to him, the screening exercise will run from March 9 to April 18 at the Police State Headquarters in Dutse.
Lawan advised applicants to visit the official recruitment portal to confirm their status and print the required documents needed for the screening.
He said candidates must appear strictly on the date specified on their invitation slips.
“The Jigawa State Police Command informs applicants that physical and credentials screening for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force will begin on March 9, 2026,” he said.
He added that the exercise would continue until April 18 at the Police State Headquarters in Dutse.
The spokesperson also outlined the dress code for applicants, which includes white canvas shoes, a white T-shirt, white shorts, and white stockings.
According to him, applicants must present several documents at the screening venue, including their application submission slip, physical screening form, invitation slip with table number, and credentials screening form.
Other required documents include a National Identity Number printout or card, O-Level certificates, and a birth certificate or declaration of age.
Candidates are also expected to provide a certificate of local government or state of origin, trade test results for specialists, a guarantor’s form with passport photographs, and other relevant credentials.
Lawan warned that applicants who fail to present the required documents, appear improperly dressed, or arrive outside their scheduled dates would not be allowed to participate in the exercise.
Quoting the Commissioner of Police in the state, Dahiru Muhammad, he urged shortlisted applicants to maintain order and adhere strictly to the guidelines throughout the process.
He also emphasised that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and advised members of the public to report anyone demanding money in connection with the process.
“The command encourages applicants to cooperate fully with officials to ensure a smooth and successful screening exercise,” Lawan added.
