Wizkid

Nigerian singers Wizkid and Ayra Starr recorded major wins at the 2026 MOBO Awards, while British-Nigerian media personality Niko Omilana also secured a top honour at the event held in Manchester, United Kingdom, on Thursday, March 26.

Wizkid was named Best African Music Act, edging out fellow Nigerian stars Davido, Rema, Shallipopi, Tiwa Savage, and Adekunle Gold.

Ayra Starr claimed the Best International Act award, beating international contenders including Cardi B, Gunna, and Kehlani, while Niko Omilana also emerged as Best Media Personality.

The 2026 edition marked the first time the MOBO Awards was hosted in Manchester, with the ceremony celebrating Black music, culture, and outstanding talents from across the globe.
