About 800 Nigerians deported from the Niger Republic have arrived at the Nigeria–Niger border in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
According to a security source, the group—made up of men, women, and children—was transported in eight luxury buses and reached the Jibia–Magama border at about 9:30 a.m. on March 29.
Officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Nigeria Police Force, intelligence agencies, and troops of the 17 Brigade have commenced profiling of the returnees.

“The profiling process is ongoing to verify their identities and obtain other necessary information before further action is taken,” the source said.
He added that after the initial screening, the deportees will be relocated to Kano State for additional processing and the provision of necessary support.
