The naira appreciated at the official market on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, trading at N1,371.82 against the United States dollar.
Data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) showed that the naira gained N14.83.
This represents a one per cent increase compared with N1,386.65 per dollar recorded on Tuesday.

The local currency, which had experienced relative stability, had posted marginal losses over three consecutive trading sessions before rebounding on Wednesday.
