The naira further appreciated at the official market on Thursday, April 9, 2026, trading at N1,359.31 against the United States dollar.
Data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) revealed that the naira gained N12.50.

This represents a 0.9 per cent gain when compared to Wednesday when the local currency traded at N1,371.82 to the dollar.
The currency has been relatively stable due to sustained CBN reforms.
