Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Borno South have endorsed Senator Ali Ndume for re-election in 2027, raising over N40 million to purchase his nomination form.

The group, drawn from the nine local government areas of the district, made their position known during a visit to the Borno State APC Chairman, Bello Ayuba, at his residence in Maiduguri on Sunday.

Led by party stalwart Adamu Yamta, the delegation said the move reflected a unanimous decision by key stakeholders to support Ndume’s continued representation in the Senate.

Speaking at the meeting, Yamta also praised Governor Babagana Zulum for what he described as inclusive and people-focused governance across the state.

In his response, Ayuba expressed surprise at the large turnout and commended the unity among party leaders and stakeholders from across the zone.

“I am impressed by the calibre of personalities here and the collective show of support. Senator Ndume clearly enjoys widespread backing,” he said.

Other speakers, including Abdullahi Danjato and Musa Dogo, described the endorsement as unanimous, noting that Ndume has demonstrated consistent performance over the years.

They explained that the visit was aimed at formally notifying the party leadership and seeking its blessing ahead of the 2027 elections.

The meeting was attended by key party figures, including the Borno South APC Zonal Leader, state party executives, local government chairmen, youth leaders, and members of the business community.
