Former Spain defender Sergio Ramos is set to become the new owner of Spanish side Sevilla after completing the club’s takeover deal.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed on Tuesday that the agreement has been concluded, with Ramos and his brother, Rene Ramos, leading the acquisition process.
According to Romano, only official documentation and legal formalities remain before a public announcement is made.
Romano wrote on X: “Sergio Ramos complete the process to buy Sevilla and become new club owner.
“The deal is in place with his brother René leading the process too.
“Waiting for official and formal steps with laywers before statement.”

The development marks a significant return for Ramos, who has strong ties with Sevilla as a former academy graduate and club captain before rising to global prominence.
Ramos began his professional career at Sevilla before joining Real Madrid, where he won multiple domestic and European titles and established himself as one of football’s most decorated defenders.
The 40-year-old recently ended his second spell at Sevilla and has now moved closer to taking an executive role at the club he once represented on the pitch.
Neither Ramos nor Sevilla has officially confirmed the takeover reports.
