A teenage girl, Hauwa’u Sani, has reportedly died after allegedly ingesting a poisonous substance following a disagreement with her parents over her choice of marriage partner in Katsina State.
The incident occurred in Ƴankara, Faskari Local Government Area, according to residents of the community.
A resident, Fahad Danladi, said the teenager allegedly took the substance after her parents opposed her intention to marry a man she had chosen.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and the account could not be independently verified.
