Naira appreciates against dollar at official market

The naira appreciated at the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, trading at N1,375.30 against the United States dollar.

Data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) revealed that the naira gained N4.80.

This represents a 0.35 per cent appreciation compared with Monday’s exchange rate when the currency traded at N1,380.10 against the dollar.

The local currency, which has remained relatively stable due to sustained reforms, also recorded slight gain on Monday.
