A woman has opened up about living with vitiligo, revealing that her former boyfriend ended their relationship after she was diagnosed with the skin condition.
She said she first noticed unusual patches on her scalp and face in 2024, initially believing they were the result of an injury and a reaction to makeup.
However, after seeking medical attention, a dermatologist confirmed she had vitiligo.
According to her, she began treatment and experienced some improvement, but emotional stress later caused the condition to spread, reducing the effectiveness of the medication. She said she eventually discontinued treatment after seeing little progress.
The woman also highlighted the stigma surrounding vitiligo, noting that many people wrongly associate the condition with spiritual causes or view it as an abomination.

She called for greater public awareness to help dispel misconceptions and encourage understanding of the condition.
