Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is battling stage 4 cancer as his children appeal for medical assistance amid his worsening condition.
His daughter, Shaki Taiwo, made the appeal in a video shared on her Instagram account on Monday night.
Taiwo said treatment was stopped because the condition had worsened and chemotherapy was no longer an option.
Taiwo called on medical professionals and traditional healers with potential cancer treatment options to assist, noting that the family was urgently seeking alternatives for their father.
“My daddy doesn’t want to die. Please, I don’t want my daddy to die. He’s in pain. He’s not happy,” she said.
The actor’s daughter pleaded for any possible treatment that might be available for him, clarifying that the family was not seeking money.

She expressed appreciation to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, who she said had been covering the actor’s medical bills during treatment and supporting the family financially.
In a separate Instagram post, Ogogo’s second daughter, Haleemah, said via her account that the family only found out about his diagnosis three weeks ago.
Ogogo, 66, has enjoyed a career spanning more than four decades and has featured in over 300 films.
