Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has dismissed reports linking Governor Ademola Adeleke’s convoy to a violent incident in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Davido described the reported attack as false, saying neither the governor nor his entourage was involved in the incident.
Reports had earlier emerged that gunmen attacked Adeleke’s convoy shortly after the governor visited the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji.
Davido, who is Governor Adeleke’s nephew and a vocal supporter of his administration, maintained that the altercation occurred outside the palace and was unrelated to the governor or members of his convoy.
