The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has recovered more than N673 billion for the Nigerian government over the past three years, its Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, has disclosed.

Olukoyede made the disclosure on Wednesday while speaking at the Cambridge International Symposium on Economic Crime in the United Kingdom.

The EFCC chairman highlighted the recovery as part of the commission’s efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s fight against financial crimes and recover proceeds linked to illicit activities.

He spoke amid growing emphasis on asset recovery and financial accountability as key components of Nigeria’s anti-corruption drive.
